Tales from the Border is an ongoing anthology comic, created by artist and illustrator SZTEHLO. The stories published here interrogate what it is to be human in an increasingly divided and senseless world. This theme will be approached through both genre and autobiography.
SZTEHLO is a comic artist of Hungarian ancestry hailing from Bedfordshire. His work is influenced by the Gothic tradition and the folkloric past of England. He read English at the University of Warwick and the University of York, before completing a Masters of Design in Comics & Graphic Novels at the University of Dundee.
SZTEHLO is currently working on his first graphic novel, “ETIMASIA,” a narrative that explores one man’s loss of faith during the First Crusade. Years later, a series of encounters forces him to search for new answers in a godless universe.
SZTEHLO currently resides in Cambridgeshire.
